Site Status/Creatures & Monsters – A to Z
I have not been nearly as active as I want to be on this blog. Something that you don’t realize about blogs until you have one is that good bloggers dedicate time to write on a regular schedule. I fail at that big time! But since it isn’t how I make my living and so my wife and kids are not starving or homeless I can forgive myself for being lazy on the blogging front.
That is not to say that I am happy with how I’ve let this site slip. I’m beginning to understand my limits, and that is going to require some changes. For one, I’m removing the blogs from the forum section. I’ll move the content posted there to this blog and have only one for the entire site.
Second plan is to drop the game design focus of the forum. It just isn’t working. People are not interested in designing Fudge games on this site, which is fine as long as they are designing Fudge games elsewhere. I will find another focus for the forum, or maybe get rid of it altogether for the time being.
Third plan is to attempt a project with a much more defined scope. In other words, a project with an ending built into it. For that I am going to post 26 creatures and monsters from various myths and legends, one for each letter of the alphabet, between now and the Day of Fudge (June 6th, 2009). That should be a much more manageable project, and it can be compiled into a single PDF once all of the entries are completed.
So that is the new plan to get some good Fudge content posted. Expect to see the first entry either today or tomorrow. Hopefully it will get me back into a regular blogging schedule and lead to bigger and better things.
