Budge v1.0 Available Now!
Here it is – Budge v1.0. You will also need the Budge character sheet.
This is my effort to lay a foundation for future settings and games that bridge the objective style used by many RPGs and the subjective nature of Fudge. You will notice that the content starts with a more objective approach, but transitions to use a more subjective approach as it progresses. In order to take this effort to the next level though I need the help of others.
I need your feedback.
I once saw an interview with Mel Brooks where he recalled how he told a preview audience of the film “Young Frankenstein” that they were about to see an unfunny film. He continued to say that with this preview audience’s feedback that he would eventually show them a very funny movie. The rest is history.
You are about to read a flawed and incomplete system. With your feedback I will do my best to revise, streamline, improve upon, and complete Budge to be an RPG that can introduce other gamers to Fudge. Take note of what you like and of what you do not like. Leave a comment here with those notes or send them to me at Patrick.Benson@SinisterForces.com. Any and all input is appreciated!
I have learned a lot so far about what it really takes to design an RPG, and it is more work than I ever imagined. I have also learned that it takes time and practice to develop the skills needed to do that work. I am not a skilled game designer yet, but with your help I will become one. Please take the time to check out Budge v1.0, and thank you in advance for whatever you have to say about it.
Hey Patrick, the link to Budge isn’t working. The link to the character sheet works fine though.

@Mark Cunningham: That is odd, because I just clicked on the link and it works fine. Both the Budge framework and the character sheet are hosted on my Windows Sky Drive account in the Public folder. I will double check everything though.
@Mark Cunningham: I discovered an issue with the Sky Drive links and switched to the embedded code. If you have a chance would you please try to download the files again and let me know if it works for you now? Thanks!

Quick FYI – using SkyDrive was a mistake, so I’ve made both the Budge v1.0 document and the character sheet available form the site itself.
